Holloway Cook’s Commitment To Sustainability
At Holloway Cook, sustainability isn’t just a goal - it’s part of how we do business.
In an industry with a significant environmental footprint, we’re proud to take meaningful action to reduce our impact; from the design phase of a project to completion, we ensure that we take all practicable measures to install the specified system with minimal environmental impact.
We’re proud to share a few milestones on our journey to reduce our environmental impact:
Over half of our vehicle fleet is now electric, and we have two EV chargers installed at our office: this is helping to reduce emissions produced by our team whilst conducting surveys and contracting visits.
Solar panels have recently been installed on the roofs of our offices. This helps us to generate renewable energy and further lower our carbon footprint.
We embrace hybrid working where possible, only making necessary commutes and journeys.
We encourage staff members who live locally to consider walking or biking to work where possible. Not only is this great for the planet, but it also boosts physical and mental well-being.
On-site, we use sustainable construction materials, reduce waste, and prioritise energy-efficient practices. In addition, all of our construction waste is processed by licensed waste handlers and recycled wherever possible.
Our teams are trained to work in an economically friendly manner as possible, and we continuously explore innovative ways to build in smarter and cleaner ways.
Sustainability is a continuous journey, and these steps are just the beginning. We're committed to making choices that benefit both our business and the planet to ensure we continue to help contribute to greener building practices.
