Co-Op Academy, Hillside

Co-Op Academy Hillside is a Primary School on the Wirral in Merseyside.

All of the flat roofs on the school were at the end of their life so Holloway Cook Associates Ltd specified that the roof was to be stripped back to the structural deck and to install a new high performance insulated built up felt roof system.

We worked closely with a manufacturer to produce the specification, carry out QA visits and provide the fully comprehensive 25-year warrantee on completion of the project in addition to full sign off by Building Control.

Works also included the installation of new rooflights, permanent free standing edge protection, lightening protection system and new fascia’s.

To ensure that the roof could be properly maintained upon completion, a system of skid resistant walkways was installed.
